| Question | Answer |
| Do I have to be a H.O.G.® member to buy tickets for the South Of England Rally? | Yes. This is a closed event
for members of H.O.G.® and their guests only. |
| I am not a biker. Can I still come to the Rally? If so, will I have to pay extra? | You can come as the guest
of a H.O.G.® member who can buy a ticket on your behalf at exactly the
same price as H.O.G.® members. Otherwise, you cannot attend the rally. |
| I am a Harley-Davidson® owner but I am not a member of H.O.G.® Can I still come to the Rally? If so, will I have to pay extra? | You can come as the guest
of a H.O.G.® member who can buy a ticket on your behalf at exactly the
same price as H.O.G.® members. Better still, why not join H.O.G.®? |
| I am a biker but not a Harley-Davidson® owner. Can I still come to the Rally? If so, will I have to pay extra? | You can come as the guest
of a H.O.G.® member who can buy a ticket on your behalf at exactly the
same price as H.O.G.® members. |
| Why are tickets for the South Of England Rally on sale to H.O.G.® members only? | Because it is organised by
five H.O.G.® Chapters and actively supported by H.O.G.® and the Harley-Davidson®
Motor Company and it is only right that the benefits of this support
should go to H.O.G.® members. |
| Will
there be amusements and other facilities for children? |
There
are no amusements or facilities specifically for children. This event
is for adults. While H.O.G.® is a family-orientated organisation, please
consider carefully the wisdom and advisability of bringing children
- especially young children - to a site which exists primarily for shooting
activities, quite apart from the frequent movement of large numbers
of motorcycles. The last thing we want is tragic accidents (that goes
for adults too) so if you want to bring your children, please do so
on the strict understanding that they must be supervised and controlled at all times
by their LEGAL GUARDIANS. If you fail to do so, we reserve the right
to ask you to leave the site. If in doubt, do not bring children. |
| Can I bring a mini-motorcycle? | For safety reasons, definitely not, still less use it on site. |
| Can I bring a bicycle (push-bike)? | For safety reasons, definitely not, still less use it on site. This particularly includes children's bikes. |
| Can I bring a dog/cat? | Similar
considerations apply to bringing pets as to children. If you think your
pet may be distressed by noise, please leave it at home. Otherwise,
provided your pet is under control at all times, you are welcome to
bring a pet. |
| Is
the rally site secure? |
Bisley
Camp is open to members of the public attending the various shooting
ranges and clubs. We will set up the usual access controls, banding
of bikes and riders and so on, to make bikes as secure as possible.
All bikes leaving the site will be stopped and checked. However, as
always, security is first and foremost the owner's responsibility and
you should come equipped with suitable motorcycle security devices and
NEVER leave your bike unsecured. |
| Will
I be able to park my bike near my on-site accommodation? |
In
most cases, yes. There is plenty of hardstanding. However, the closest
point to your accommodation may be grassed, and if the ground is not
firm enough, riding on and parking on the grassed areas may not be permitted.
Bike owners should bring a suitable side-stand pad in case of soft ground. |
| Will
I be able to park my bike next to my tent? |
Yes,
IF THERE IS SPACE, THE GROUND IS FIRM ENOUGH AND PROVIDING YOU DO SO
SAFELY so as not to endanger either yourselves or others. If there is
not enough space, or the ground is not firm enough, riding on and parking
on the grassed areas will not be permitted, and you should park on hardstanding
only. Bike owners should bring a suitable side-stand pad in case of
soft ground. |

enforced. |
